- Quinn closed his eyes as he began to stumble, but it was almost as if he were weightless now. There was nothing he had to hold up and therefore no reason to fall. He had become steady something which by no means should have happened...at least something which he could not have caused to happen. Of course he suddenly realized that it was the being in front of him that steadied his heavy limbs...the beautiful young woman who probably wasn't even a woman at all. She had to be real of course for who else was holding him now? He didn't have the balance currently to stand on his own...this of course due to the poison that he had all but injected straight into his veins. -
- Quinn felt himself being straightened out and steadied to stand on his own two feet. His head hung limply and his eyes were still closed. He just wanted to lay down somewhere. His head continued to spin even in the darkness behind his eye lids, sickening colors danced around him and despite the fact that he was standing straight up in front of this woman he felt as though the ground around him was moving like some kind of solid wave. He felt a cool touch under his chin and he immediately opened his eyes. His head was being slowly lifted...lifted until she had made sure that Quinn's eyes met hers. She seemed to hold their gaze in silence for the longest time. There was something in her eyes...something that Quinn couldn't place or maybe just didn't want to place in these moments. He wanted relief...that was it. He just wanted to black right out and wake up with no memory of anything. Hell he didn't even care where he woke up as long as he did. -
- Quinn's eyes looked empty, distant, and quite serene...almost as if he had nothing going on upstairs. This was partly true of course, but still there was always a part of Quinn that seemed to recognize his current reality. And that part of Quinn kicked in as soon as their brief, but seemingly drawn out silence was ended. Her voice of course...Quinn's was lost probably in her gaze. He had wanted to say something to her, but nothing really seemed right to say...nothing really seemed worth saying...or more so he couldn't find the words to say anything worthwhile. He had almost missed her words completely...sleeping awake was a real possibility right now. His ears kicked in completely at "...but listen carefully..." It was a command that he seemingly had no choice, but to obey. "You...have struck me...as someone who could use a change..." -
"Damn Right!"
- He said suddenly his voice the same as before. In fact he sounded down right silly. Quinn had cut the young woman off without even realizing it, but she continued on anyway. She seemed to be looking deeply into his being...analyzing him with her eyes. "I can give you everything...or take everything from you." This was followed by a chuckle and another brief period of silence between them, but silence was the last thing Quinn had. A million different things again bum rushed his mind. He couldn't focus enough on one thing to make words, but the young woman continued on without a response from him. "Your choice, young mortal. I'd ask you to walk with me first, for a time, get to know you, but time is of the essence, and you are wasting what little there is with your disregard for sobriety..." Well his sobriety really wasn't any of her damn business and what was this about time now...the spinning continued and he closed his eyes slowly trying to register, but for some reason he felt compelled to open them again...to let his eyes fall into hers once again as her voice tickled his ears once again "Perhaps it is wrong of me to make you choose in such a state...perhaps you do not understand a word I am saying...Do you?" she had let out a soft sigh before these final words to him. Of course Quinn didn't understand a word she was saying, but he wasn't going to let her know that. He wasn't even going to let himself realize that. He couldn't let her words completely register...it was impossible right now. -
- He bobbed his head slowly from side to side underneath her fingertip. Her eyes had narrowed when she had questioned him and it seemed as though she was waiting for some kind of response from him. Her words rang through his head over and over again. He opened his mouth slightly and began to speak. Again he was heavy with slur, but at least now he was able to form words fully. -
"If you take everything...you give me everything..."
- These were the words he managed to speak. They meant something of course and they seemed to come directly from a deep place in his mind. None of this he could consciously realize. He began to speak again in the same manner as before his words were slower this time though and a bit more drawn out...his voice sounded low and drone. -
"Time...is...infinite...and...my...state...is...meaning...less..."
- He paused for a moment seemingly at a loss for words. His eyes closed again and his head bobbed back and forth. -
"I...Am...You...Are...Now..."

What is D&B's stance on anything not IG?
I, for one, have a pyrokinetic vampire with a sense of smell twenty times that of most of his kind. Would those things be allowed here or no?
Since we're probably going to vote that "holy water" isn't a literal term, but rather just symbolic of damage done to our characters, does this mean that Liander finally gets to roast a few people?
Also, what do IG powers actually mean for the characters? I try to take a creative spin on them, but are we going to have a set canon for what is or isn't allowed when it comes to them?

Vampires would likely have the right to mutilate one that they zeroed. They're the one at the scene dealing the final blow, taking the last drops of blood their opponent had, so why wouldn't they be allowed to do anything? "To the victor goes the spoils."
I do however believe that both players should have a discussion before any major mutilation takes place, mostly for the reasons that Myra's player put forth.
As far as claiming the body goes, usually it's just whoever makes the claim first, so it generally does end up being the vampire that had the killshot. Sometimes they'll leave the body for anyone to pick up, sometimes they'll hand it over to someone... it depends on the situation and who's involved.

I think vampires would be able to get drunk, but they would have to ingest a massive quantity in order for that to happen and then - if they wanted it to last - keep a fairly steady flow of alcohol into the body.
This opens up another question though - can vampires take in anything other than blood? Personally I've always seen that as up to the writer; some vampires might still be able to eat certain foods while others might not be able to ingest anything that isn't human blood.

Are you asking if the vampire has the right to mutilate, or if the writer has the right to RP it? 
The vampire, I would say, does have that right. If you've zeroed someone then and there, they're beat; if they couldn't defend themselves until then, they won't be able to defend themselves now, are probably out of AP (ahem, energy).
But as a writer, you have to remember the game isn't there only for your fun, and that there is such a thing as dignity. It's classless to mutilate someone else's charracter without their permission, advice and/or participation. If you're doing it, you're doing it not because it would be good writing; good writing would have the other person's opinion - at the very least - in it, and ethical writing would have their permission. You'd only be doing it out of selfishness or at worse, malice.
So no, the person doesn't have the write to RP that "just because". If you're going to do it, do it right.

I'm unofficially doing NaNoWriMo; I just decided to see if I could meet the challenge, and that's it. Opened up Word and started typing. So far I'm doing very badly as far as speed goes, but I don't have time to write every day either. I might need another month to pass 50k.

No prizes for guessing which of our favorite nudest vampires that was, I take it?
But... I think that if a vampire mutilates another, that it has nothing to do with the players or the vampire's limitations. If someone was to cut off Azeara's arm, I would have a one armed vampire whether I liked it or not. It is not about us, but about what the vampires do. Just saying.
